New Features
You may have noticed a new look and feel to mailspaces.com.

Further details below:
• Improvements to automatic tagging
Further improvements have been made to automatic tagging, improving the quality of tags extracted from the content and supporting additional ways of expressing dates for event tags.
Users can now carry out a single search across the content of all the spaces that they have access to. Additionally, the search on the home page of each space now searches across feed items, discussion messages and knowledge entries rather than requiring you to select an individual type.
• Images can be included on space home page
It is now possible to include the full content of a selected knowledge entry, including images, on the home page of a space. This means that home pages can now show images as well as text
Each space now has a treemap visualisation of the tags within that space showing you the most used tags and enabling you to quickly get an idea of the topics covered by that space. By default a small treemap appears at the top right of each space home page which links to a larger treemap on its own page.
• US English support
Limited support is now available for US English. Users who have their locale set to US English now have dates in their messages and knowledge entries correctly extracted.
• New themes
There are now a number of new visual themes available for the web interface giving a choice of colours and banner images. Additionally the colours used for enhance HTML messages, enhanced HTML digests and HTML newsletters are now set according to the theme.
• User-supplied stylesheet for a space
Administrators of spaces can now supply an individual CSS stylesheet for that space, for example to personalise it with their own colours or banner images. The stylesheet is cleaned to remove any scripting and other potential security issues.
• Improved customisation of web interface
Improved options are now available for customisation of the web interface. This includes changing the page banners and footers, stylesheets and adding advertising to pages.
• Folded ‘My Home’ space summaries
The summaries of space activity on ‘My Home’ are now folded so that you have to select a ‘+’ button next to a space to open up a view of the activity within it. The activity summary now included feed items as well as discussion messages and knowledge entries.
• Alphabetical guide for space index
It is now possible to navigate the index of spaces by selecting the first letter of the space name from the alphabetical guide at the top of the page.
• Users index can be sorted by join date
It is now possible to view the user index sorted by the date the user joined the system.
• Support for deletion of multiple tags
Tags that are not associated with other tags can be deleted from the index of tags, rather than needing to view and individual tag. Those that are associated with other tags still need to be deleted from the tag view page.
• Changes to space settings tabs
A number of changes have been made to the position of the settings for spaces:
• Settings controlling the automatic creation and splitting of tags have been moved from the workflow tab to their own Tagging tab.
• The summary permissions controlling whether a space is public, open or private and whether joining is anyone, approved or private have been moved to the main Permissions tab.
• It is now possible to control whether the administrators of a space have access to full permissions or just the summary permissions.
• Easier log-on away from home page
When viewing a page that the guest user has permission to see, there is now a Log-on link on the breadcrumb bar allowing you to log-on to the system and then immediately return to that page.
• User-selectable memorable data question
When not running with an external user directory, users now have to select from one of six security questions to set the memorable data that can then subsequently be used to have a new password e-mailed to them should they forget their current password.
• Users can request resend of account activation message
When not running with an external user directory, if a user has registered but has not received the message with the details of how to confirm their identity and activate their account they can now request it to be sent again by selecting the ‘Forgotten your password’ link on the log-on form.
• Improved feedback on workflow when adding users, spaces or members
When adding new users, registering as a new user, changing your regular e-mail address, adding new spaces or joining new members to a space there is now improved feedback if due to workflow confirmation or approval is required.
