The future's, er, MailSpaces
Orange has announced the closure of its SmartGroups service. You could go to Yahoo, or Google, or Microsoft. Or you could come to MailSpaces - Discussion, wiki, feeds all tied together with automatic tagging and natural language tools. We've written a tool to transfer all of your e-mail across - Take a look here, to help you move across quickly. If you can't get it to work, let us know, as we are keen to help where we can. |

What a way to spend a weekend...
Ever since the Orange SmartGroups closure, we've been working to help move people across to MailSpaces - We've got a lot of people who are starting with Private Spaces to get their content across, before opening them up to members (welcome, all of you) - And guess who drew the short straw on weekend support this week? |

PC Tools Video
I have spent many a happy hour, burning midnight oil, etc editing a video of the basics of how to use MailSpaces, from registration right up to adding HTML on the front page. It took 17 1/2 minutes to record, and then about 20 times as long to add fancy titles and encode it Anyhow, PC Tools will have a hi-res version on their next cover disk (Issue 35, out 16th November), so buy buy buy! Circulation will be up by at least 10, if only due to the number... |

Messing around with stylesheets...
I spent a pleasant afternoon yesterday playing with the look and feel of one of our spaces – I could have been a lot more drastic (including losing the whole right hand side), but was physically restained by Pete, in case Steve attacked me when he saw what I had done. Anyhow, the results of my efforts can be found here (which in itself is part of a campaign to get NCT (ante-natal) groups to use MailSpaces). |

Who are we?
There is some concern out there that MailSpaces consists only of me and another e-mail address which purports to be someone called Stephen. |

Re: The future's, er, MailSpaces
Nigel, It would be great if you could develop a tool to import the smartgroups archive to here or to a standalone database like the message tracker utility. |
